Common asked questions and answers

Until what day can I make a booking?

You can book your equipment online latest 7 days before arriving. Ice skates and inreach for Fiskflyg costumers can be booked until 16.00 the day before arrival. For later reservation, send us an email and we do our best to help you. Also send us an email if you want to make a group booking or if your rental periods stretches over 14 days.

How are the days counted?

We count the days you are using the equipment, not the number of 24-hours periods or half-days. The reason for this is that we need at least one night to dry the equipment if it is wet, make sure it is in good condition, or move it to another pickup location. So, if you pick up your equipment on Monday at 14.00 and drop it off on Tuesday at 10.00, it counts as two days.

How much do you pay when making your reservation?

If you book more than 90 days before your rental period starts, you’ll pay a 20% deposit when making your reservation. Around 90 days before you arrive we sent you a payment link where we ask you to carry through the final payment. If you book 90 days before your rental period starts or later you’ll pay full price when making your reservation.

Will I get money back if I hand back the equipment earlier than I planned to do?

Sorry, but no. Most of out guests book the equipment weeks or even months before so the chances that we can rent it to someone else is minimal.

I don't really know when I am coming back. Can I hand the equipment back a few days later than planned if I decide to stay out longer?

If you are not sure when you come back you’ll have to make the reservation until the later date. If you are out on your adventure and realize you would like to stay out longer AND you have some communication device that works, you can always contact us and ask. If the equipment is available we adjust your reservation and you can pay the difference when you hand it back.

Where can I pick up the equipment?

Pick up your outdoor equipment in one of our Rental equipment store outside Jokkmokk or Gällivare, or have it delivered to Gällivare train station or Jokkmokk bus station.

Can I pick up the equipment in one spot and hand it back in another?

You can choose to pick up your equipment in Jokkmokk and drop it off in Gällivare or the opposite. Just let us know when making your reservation.

How do I choose pick up location?

Choose your pick up and drop off location when booking your outdoor equipment. We also appreciate if you can let us know a time of the day so that we can make sure someone is there to meet you. If you don’t know your schedule yet, please send us an email when you have your details ready.

I am a bit short on time in Jokkmokk/Gällivare. Can you help me?

You can choose to pay an extra fee and have it delivered to Gällivare train station or Jokkmokk bus station. We recommend that you at least have 15-30 minutes between connections depending on how much you have rented.


We will refund you according to the conditions below:

  • Cancellations from the time you receive your booking confirmation up to 15 days before arrival will be charged 20% of the total cost of the equipment.
  • Cancellations from 14 days up to 8 days before arrival will be charged 50% of the total cost of the equipment.
  • Cancellations within 7 days of arrival will be charged 100% of the total cost of the equipment.
