Common asked questions and answers
How much time will I get on the market?
You will have the chance to be at Jokkmokk winter market all days from Thursday to Saturday. On Friday and Saturday you have activities part of the day.
How cold will it be?
A normal day in February we have temperatures between -10 to -35 degrees Celsius. We rent winter clothing and winter boots, which we warmly (!) recommend. Previous guests that have not rented clothes have been cold during the activities and had to add clothes and boots on site. It is better to pre-book so that we can make sure we have the right size available for you.
I have high blood pressure; can I still go?
We don’t automatically say no just because you have a medical condition but it should not be a high risk factor for you or the group. We recommend that you talk to your doctor about the activities included in the program. AND please let us know when filling out the application form and we can discuss this with you before the activities starts.
I am a vegetarian; can I join the team?
We are used to handling most food preferences and allergies, just let us know when filling out the application form. We like to serve you our local specialties such as fish, reindeer and moose, but we can also arrange vegetarian alternatives. If you have a severe allergy, please contact us before you make your reservation.
What happens if I miss the pickup in Luleå
We can not guarantee that we will wait for delayed trains or flights. We recommend that you arrive one day earlier and add an extra night in Luleå. This way you have time to explore Luleå and have a good night sleep to be ready for the adventure. You can add both double/twin or single room under add-ons when placing your booking for this tour.
